Distran closes its Series A financing round
Distran announces the closing of its Series A financing round. The proceeds will enable Distran to accelerate the market roll-out of its Ultra M, a hand-held gas leak localization device which shows gas leaks in real-time on the device's screen, resulting in safer and 10 times faster plant inspections. Support from the Swiss Climate Foundation
Distran is proud to announce that it is being supported by the Swiss Climate Foundation
to bring to the market a novel gas leak detector. The detector allows to monitor gas installations
(such as compressor stations, gas turbines...) and detect in real-time leaks that may occur.
Limiting methane escape to the atmosphere is decisive to limit climate change, as methane is a greenhouse
gas that is 72 times more potent than CO2 (over a period of 20 years). A single 3mm leak in
a common 70 bar gas installation is equivalent to the annual CO2 emission of 110 000 cars in Switzerland.
The support of the Swiss Climate Foundation will allow to perform critical tests in Switzerland and abroad and
convince major actors of the urgency to tackle methane gas leaks. See announcements (DE|FR).
Distran just moved into its new offices in Zurich, near the Limmat river. Please update your address book!
